The Host Review.

i think i might have heard the title before unless im saying that because it sounds like a plausible book title but what's it about in case im interested in it...
The Host is about the human race basically being taken over by aliens, but silently. The aliens are just these little silver blobs that live inside humans and live humans' lives as they would normally, for the experience.

The story itself focuses on a host named Wanderer who is put into an older body that was a rebel human, and finds that the old occupant is still there, in her head. They bond and stuff, and then Wanderer falls in love with the boyfriend from her host body's memories, and yeah. It's a brain candy book, but I love it.
ooooh sounds interesting. im not one for the trippy spirit stuff but this sounds good, very symbolistic and shit. i saw akiko w/ the book and it reminded me of the post, plus i've seen those big fatty books by the same author i think which mica had too, the cover art work is hecka tight. maybe when i finish all these other novels it'll be definately be a read i look forward to, is there like a non implied series like a book you think i should read prior to this one?
No, the Host is the first of its series. Meyer also wrote another series that starts with the book Twilight, but it's more of a lovey-dovey story about vampires and stuff. It's good, but for some reason I can't really see you reading it, lol.

I finished it and I too ate it up. I was going to wait until Monday to read it in class but I couldn't. I was in the middle and I went home and finished it. Bad Akiko. Now what am I going to do in class?
